HELP END THE RED-LIGHT CAMERA RIP-OFF!

We need people to come speak at City Hall tomorrow!!

This could be decided by one vote.

The council needs to hear from real citizens who oppose the cameras.

The company buses in people to speak on their behalf. Don’t let them fool the Council.

You can really make a difference!

Join us as we go to City Hall and tell our elected officials — NO CONTRACT EXTENSION KILL THE RED LIGHT CAMERA PROGRAM—

When: Tuesday, June 21st

Time: 10 am (Item could be heard anytime up till about 1 or 2 pm)

Where: LA City Hall – Main St. between 1st and Temple. John Ferraro Council Chamber, Room 340,

Each member of the public will be given 1 – 2 minutes to address the council, so we need many people to show up. We can supply you with talking points or you can choose your own words. Trust me when I tell you that the camera company is planning to pack the room with their supporters like they did on Friday. Please join us and be part of the political process. If the council members don’t hear from you, they will think you support this waste of taxpayer dollars. If you are thinking of going, contact us so we can coordinate.

See our friend Wolfie speaking at the last City Council Meeting

If you can’t make it Tomorrow, make a call to all the offices of the City Council members now or tomorrow morning before 10am.  Go here for more info on how to make phone calls to council offices.

You can also send two emails. Click on this link email 4 Extensionemail We’ve filled in all the info, you just have to send. It takes less than 20 seconds and it goes to every Council Office.

This is truly amazing. This is an “In your face” shame. It is blaringly obvious that ATS lobbyists are at work. What’s the point in a police commission if the City Council can weasel their way around their findings? Or, if they are so sincere about safety, then why don’t Parks and Cardenas make a reasonable proposal such as eliminating the use of cameras for right turns and placing them at accident prone intersections. What a couple of punks.

It’s sad… but we CAN go downtown tomorrow and show our support and speak up… We can’t pass the opportunity we have here to really make change for the better.
